There’s still time to donate on #GivingTuesday!
I am grateful for the residential staff supporting my brother and today found myself once again overwhelmed with how profound an impact Pathlight has had. We are in our fourth year with the amazing staff at Stephen’s home and I’ve stopped waiting for the awesomeness to peak. I now know that it will continue unabated and go as far as Stephen wishes to ride the curve. I have known since the day I first spoke to your amazing team that Pathlight was the answer to my prayers for Stephen. I have been able to move hundreds of miles away and still sleep at night without a second thought as to my brother’s well-being. My brother is respected supported, honored and acknowledged as a man of ongoing development who does not need to be limited by his past.
Your donation to Pathlight helps fund recreational and educational activities for the people we serve all year round, such as covering the cost of classes to nurture new skills, new tech devices and art supplies, taking family vacations or trips to sports games like the Red Sox, and going to social outings within the community.
We are experiencing technical issues with our online donation form (isn’t it always the way?). Please go to the Whole Children website to make your donation. You are able to designate it to the program of your choice, including Pathlight, there. Thank you!
In 1952, we first served 5 children. Now Pathlight is proud to serve infants to elders of all ages, in all stages. We want to live in a world where people with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and autism are recognized for their full human potential; where they are empowered to build an engaged and connected life, made up of the people and activities that they choose and that are meaningful to them.
We achieve this vision through a shared commitment to a well-trained and supported workforce and by focusing on the wishes and dreams of the people we serve.
We offer a broad range of services tailored to people with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism, and their families. These include (but are not limited to) residential programs, performing arts, sex and relationship education, recreation and enrichment activities, behavioral supports and medical care. We also provide support and resources for families so that they can be the best advocates for their family members.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
GivingTuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. Our global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life.
