Down Syndrome Resource Group of W. Mass.
About
The Down Syndrome Resource Group of Western Massachusetts was started in September 1999 by parents who had a common interest in sharing information and resources in caring for their children. The group provides information about family support, resources, parent training, and social opportunities.

Mission
The Mission of the Down Syndrome Resource Group of Western Massachusetts is to discover, encourage, and embrace the potential of ALL individuals with Down syndrome. We accomplish this by supporting the individual, their families, caregivers, and communities through outreach, unity, resources, community involvement and education.
The Buddy Walk
The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. Today, the Buddy Walk program is supported nationally by NDSS and organized at the local level by parent support groups, schools and other organizations and individuals.
The Buddy Walk is an approximately two-mile walk in which anyone can participate without special training. It is an inspirational and educational event that celebrates the many abilities and accomplishments of people with Down syndrome. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, come and join our Buddy Walk!
